Clifton High School enjoyed joining schools up and down the country on Tuesday 12th November to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week by participating in Odd Socks Day 2024. This national initiative began in 2017, growing to now see an estimated 5 million children take part each year!
Odd Socks Day is a fun opportunity for Clifton High School pupils and staff members to showcase their support by wearing unique and interesting sock combinations to symbolise that we are, indeed all unique and interesting individuals. We also reinforced this through anti-bullying assemblies across all year groups as well as pupils participating in class activities to spread the importance of kindness.
Anti-bullying is a mission we are delighted, as a School, to raise awareness for; we work hard to address it and believe it should never be tolerated. Our commitment is to continually educate our pupils about the importance of treating each other in accordance with two of our School values:
LOVE and EMPATHY
Our tagline BEYOND A SCHOOL, A PLACE TO BELONG is a genuine reflection that we truly are a School for children to belong and we reinforce every day the theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week that:
IT'S OK TO BE YOURSELF
We are grateful to all our Clifton High School families for their time and support in continuing and further improving our efforts to triumph over bullying and offer information packs to support their at home conversations here.
