On-Site Access |
Clifton High School is accessible via the Main Gate on College Road. In line with our Safeguarding Policy, all visitors and guests should report to our Main Reception to sign in and be accompanied on-site by a member of staff. Access to the Sports Complex, where our Swimming Pool is housed is via Clifton Park Road. Clifton High School has a number of other entrances and gates for use only at drop-off and pick-up by our current pupils, parents and staff members. |
Getting Here |
Due to our historic location, unfortunately we do not have an on-site car park available for visitors. However, there is paid street parking available surrounding the School's perimeter. (Please note the 30-minutes free parking). Clifton High School is easily accessible using public transportation, including buses and trains. The closest train station is Clifton Down, situated a 15 minutes walk from the School. Alternatively, the extensive bus network in Bristol alights at stops near College Road, Clifton Park or Clifton Village. |
CLIFTON VILLAGE
Clifton High School is centrally located in Clifton Village, a picturesque area in the heart of Bristol. Overlooking the Avon River and home to the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, it is known for historical architecture of the Georgian and Regency era, charming buildings and a vibrant atmosphere.
Clifton Village sits amidst beautiful green spaces that afford visitors and locals alike with captivating views across the Avon Gorge, leisurely walks or more active pursuits on Durdham and Clifton Downs or within the grounds of Ashton Court. The School immerses itself in the local community and is fortunate to be a short walk from a plethora of independent restaurants, cafes, shops as well as the buzz of the City centre.

There are many local and national transport links with regular bus services and Clifton Down Train station is only a 15-minute walk away from the School. Whilst we do not have on-site parking, we offer staff the opportunity to purchase a local parking permit. There are also many private and street parking options within short walking distances to the School.
