Clifton High School lunchtime menus reflect seasonality.
The Catering Team prepare food in-house with the purpose of reaching the highest quality standard that uses fresh, organic and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Products are Fairtrade, eggs are free-range and fish is MSC certified to support sustainable fishing practices.
Clifton High School are allergen aware, catering for community members that have special dietary needs, intolerances and preferences. Mr Tim Fletcher, Excecutive Chef is available to discuss these requirements and answer any queries on our lunchtime menu via the Main School Office email: schooloffice@cliftonhigh.co.uk.
We aim to encourage pupils to appreciate a balanced and varied diet, providing them with the opportunity to sample foods that are both appealing yet also nutritious and filling. The lunchtime menu options feature, but are not limited to:
- Wholesome main dishes (i.e. stews, roasts, pies, curries)
- Jacket potatoes, pasta and rice
- An abundance of fresh vegetables
- A large selection of salad dishes
- Daily rotating soup choice
- Light lunch (i.e. sandwiches, baps and wraps)
- Traditional puddings (i.e. crumbles, tarts, cakes, flapjacks)
- Lighter pudding options (i.e. yoghurts, fruit salad bowls) and seasonal fresh fruit counter
Menus are published in the Parent Bulletin the preceding week to assist in parent's home planning. (Please note our menus may be subject to change due to produce availability and deliveries).
To raise cultural awareness throughout the School year, we often celebrate and acknowlege religious festivals, events and days of interest in the national and international calendar through food.
