Year 7 Author Visit by Anna Goodall, Maggie Blue author
Last week, Year 7 pupils had the pleasure of a talk by the new author of the Maggie Blue series, Anna Goodall. Anna read from her shortlisted Costa Children's Book Award novel, "Maggie Blue and the Dark World," and discussed developing stories set in dystopian and fantasy worlds.
Many Year 7 students shared their ideas for first novel paragraphs and alternative universes. Pupils also enjoyed meeting the author and getting their books signed, which we hope will inspire them to explore fantasy fiction in their reading and creative writing choices in the future.
