On Monday, pupils in Year 7 visited Wenchford Brook in the Forest of Dean on a geography field studies trip. The visit was designed by the Geography Department to enhance the pupils’ inquiry-based skills, from writing hypotheses and designing methodologies to collecting data.
The pupils enjoyed the practical elements of the day especially the opportunity to see for themselves what they had been learning about in class. Pupils were challenged to complete a ‘nature detective photo challenge’, and capture ten photographs around the forest satisfying certain criteria. Pupils will put these photos into a collage for homework and we very much look forward to seeing the creative results!
