Now in its sixth year, Marquee Week 2018 will take place between Tuesday 16th and Monday 22nd October. A much anticipated event in our school calendar, boys and girls, parents and friends look forward to Marquee Week each year with eagerness and excitement.
Taking place in a magnificent marquee on the school lawn, the week is a celebration of the best of Clifton High School. Events take place over a number of themed days and also include our Open Morning, our annual Senior School drama production, our annual alumni reception and a convivial evening’s entertainment organised by our Parents’ Association.
Previous themed days include:
- Arts and Creativity
- Food and Environment
- Music and Film
- Language and Literature
- Creative Thinking
- Extra-curricular Clubs
Be they performing, demonstrating new-found talents, enjoying hands-on interactive events, finalising display work or simply being ambassadors for our School, the week is so important for our boys and girls; it gives them the opportunity to develop confidence, work together and have a truly enriched education.
Parents, grandparents, former staff, former pupils and friends are all warmly welcomed to Marquee Week which brings our wonderful school community together. We also open our doors to some very special guests who in previous years have included: film maker and producer, Ken Loach; acclaimed food writer, Xanthe Clay; doctor, broadcaster and comedian Dr Phil Hammond and authors Holly Smale, Mandy Sutcliffe, John Dougherty and Steve Voake.
